The United States Insurrection
The United States Insurrection covers the events of January 6th and the immediate aftermath. Following a fraught election, rhetoric across the country spoke of a stolen election. Fanned by the flames of Donald Trump and his administration, tens of thousand gathered in Dc on January 6th. With the intent of protecting the election results, the crowd marched to the capitol where results were being officially finalized. A typically uneventful procedure rapidly turned into a violent insurrection as protestors stormed the capital building. Arriving the same day, this project covers what happened at the capitol on January 6th.
